Charlotte, NC / Remote - Full-Time

At FanConnect, we provide technology products to enhance fan experience in sports and entertainment venues. Our platform is trusted by top-tier stadiums across the country - including Lincoln Financial Field, Petco Park, Acrisure Stadium, The Horseshoe, The Big House, The Swamp, XFINITY Center, and many more.

We're building the next generation of in-venue experiences and we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help lead that charge. You'll work across a modern stack (React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Rails, AWS, Kubernetes) and have a direct impact on what fans see during the game.

What You'll Do

  • Work across the full stack - client, server, infrastructure - to deliver features end-to-end
  • Lead development of tools that let sports teams control IPTV displays across large venues
  • Build performant, fan-facing apps for suites, concourses, and premium areas
  • Integrate live data sources - game stats, TV listings, POS systems - into a unified fan experience
  • Design robust GraphQL APIs and backend services using Ruby on Rails
  • Operate and scale services in production using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Improve system observability - instrumenting metrics, logs, alerts, and uptime monitors
  • Mentor team members and guide architectural decisions as we scale

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems
  • Deep experience with React and TypeScript in complex, real-world applications
  • Strong proficiency in designing and consuming GraphQL APIs
  • Production experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with observability tooling - metrics, logs, tracing (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, and system design
  • Strong product and user-centric mindset
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Why FanConnect

  • Work on high-impact software used in real stadiums - your work is seen by millions of fans
  • Join a senior, fast-moving team that values autonomy, pragmatism, and product thinking
  • Work on challenges that span video, data, and infrastructure - delivering low-latency experiences to fans
  • Help shape the direction of our platform, products, and team as we scale

This is a full time position with competitive benefits. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full time basis.
